Thammarak Moenjak
Senior Director, Bank of Thailand
Thammarak Moenjak is the incoming Senior Director of the Bank of Thailand's Digital Currency Unit.
A career central banker, Thammarak has worked extensively in the areas of monetary policy, reserves management, corporate strategy, financial institutions policy, international collaboration, and central bank digital currency initiatives.
Thammarak is the author of Central Banking at the Frontier: Creating a Digital Financial Landscape (Emerald Publishing, 2024).
Thammarak has a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Melbourne, Master in Public Management from Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, and B.Sc.(Econ) from the London School of Economics.
His previous roles include Chief Representative at the Bank of Thailand London Representative Office (2021–2024), Assistant Chief Representative in New York (2008–2009), and Lee Kuan Yew Fellow at Harvard Kennedy School (2013).
